Carrot juice for healthy skin!

I’ve not blogged in a while and I really have no excuse other than morning sickness and tiredness has gotten the better of me now I’m through that stage and have a little more energy I’ve started cooking again rather than relying on quick meals and snacks just to get me through the day! (I fell off the healthy gluten and dairy free bandwagon completely! Luckily the baby seems to be protecting me from any nasty side effects I used to get from eating these foods!).

As a result of the dairy eating and the excess of the lovely hormone progesterone (which seems to be the main culprit in all pregnancy related issues) my skin has taken a hit and is in bad condition.

I made myself a lovely carrot and ginger juice this morning. Carrots are well know for their high amounts of vitamin A and C. And are rich in calcium, folic acid (good for the baby!) and beta-carotene.

It helps to purify and feed nutrients to your skin and it also tastes delicious! What a better way to start your day?!

3 large carrots (peeled as they weren’t organic)
1 inch of ginger (peeled)

Simply put all the ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!
