Serenity Sundays at Rievaulx Abbey

My yoga school (Peacock Tree Yoga) are running classes every Sunday in August at Rievaulx Abbey, can you think of a more beautiful place to practice yoga?

We’ve had a pretty busy weekend  so  this was the perfect way to spend our Sunday. After class we enjoyed a nice cup of tea in the cafe before having a little wander around the Abbey (and taking a few silly piccies! We had to have some evidence that we did yoga there!)…

(I was a little too long to do the Warrior properly!)

We then headed to Helmsley where Douglas enjoyed fish and chips before we had a wander around the shops and back home.

The yoga classes are free as part of the entrance fee in Rievaulx Abbey and are suitable for anyone, children, grandparents and yogis. I highly recommend everyone tries this class, hurry as it’s only on for the rest of the month!

I couldn’t speak more highly of my yoga school, my teacher, Lilley Harvey, and her husband have invested so much time and energy into their students it makes coming to class a such a pleasure and I for one will be at the front of mat mat, every week, eager to start the next class.

Head to their facebook page for more info on Serenity Sundays at Rievaulx Abbey. Also check out their website if you’re local to York and are looking to do some yoga!

Let me know if you make it one Sunday.

Clare xXx
